Postcard Printing in Citrus Heights, CA
Direct mail and handouts that land on the counter, not in the bin.

Postcards do two jobs well: they land in a mailbox with no envelope to open, and they hand out at a counter or event without being thrown away on the way to the car. Global Printing prints full-colour postcards in Citrus Heights on heavy 14pt and 16pt stock for realtors, dentists, restaurants, retailers and non-profits across the Sacramento region.
We print every standard mailing size, including USPS Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) sizes, with a gloss or matte front and a writable uncoated back for addressing. Supply a mailing list and we can print addresses and a postal indicia so the cards are ready to drop at the post office.

Postcard sizes and when to use them
4" × 6" is the classic postcard and the cheapest to mail at the postcard rate. 5" × 7" and 5.5" × 8.5" give more room for a photo and an offer and still mail as a letter. 6" × 9" and 6" × 11" are the sizes used for EDDM saturation mailings, where the extra size helps the card stand out in a stack of mail and there is no per-address list to buy.
Direct mail that pays for itself
A postcard campaign works when the offer is specific, the audience is local and the card is easy to act on. Put the offer and expiry date on the front, the details and a map or QR code on the back, and a tracking phone number or coupon code so you can measure response. Repeating the same neighbourhood three times over a few months usually outperforms one large blast.
Not sure whether to use EDDM or a purchased list? EDDM reaches every address on chosen carrier routes with no list cost and lower postage, which suits restaurants, home services and retail. A targeted list suits dentists, realtors and businesses that want to reach specific homeowners. We can advise on either.
How businesses use postcards
Realtors
"Just Listed", "Just Sold" and market update postcards to a farm area. Consistent monthly cards are how agents become the name a neighbourhood knows.
Dentists, chiropractors and clinics
New patient offers and appointment reminder cards on 16pt gloss with a writable back for the front desk.
Restaurants and takeout
EDDM menu postcards to the surrounding routes with a first-order coupon. One of the highest-response uses of direct mail for local food businesses.
Home services
Seasonal offers for HVAC tune-ups, gutter cleaning, lawn care and pest control, timed to land before the busy season.
Retail and e-commerce
Thank-you cards and reorder discount cards inserted in every parcel. A 4 × 6 card in the box costs cents and brings customers back.
Events and non-profits
Save-the-dates, invitations, fundraiser appeals and event reminders that get pinned to the fridge.
Setting up your artwork
- Add 1/8" bleed to all sides and keep text 1/8" inside the trim.
- For mailed postcards, leave the right half of the back clear for the address block and stamp or indicia, and ask us for a USPS-compliant template.
- Use an uncoated or matte back if you plan to hand-write on the cards.
- 300 dpi photos, CMYK colour, fonts embedded.
- Send your mailing list as an Excel or CSV file; we will handle the merge and proof it.
How to order
Send your size, quantity and deadline through the quote form or call +1 (279) 758-7948. We reply with pricing and turnaround, check your artwork, and send a proof to approve before anything prints. Pick up at our store on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights, or we ship anywhere in the US.
Frequently asked questions
Can you print the addresses on the postcards?
Yes. Supply a spreadsheet and we print each card with its address, and add a postal indicia if you have a permit. For EDDM we print the required "Local Postal Customer" layout and bundle to USPS specifications.
What is EDDM and do you support it?
Every Door Direct Mail is a USPS program that delivers to every address on selected mail routes without a mailing list. We print in EDDM-compliant sizes (6 × 9 and 6 × 11 are most common) and can guide you through the online route selection and drop-off.
What stock is best for mailing?
14pt with a gloss front and uncoated back is the standard: stiff enough to survive the mail, and the back accepts printed or written addresses. 16pt feels more premium for realtors and clinics.
What is the minimum order?
100 postcards. Direct mail runs are usually 500 to 5,000; the price per card drops sharply above 1,000.
How fast can you turn postcards around?
Standard orders are ready in 2–3 business days after proof approval. Rush service is available on standard sizes. Mailing jobs add a day for addressing.
